Making duty and landed cost visible for brand meetings

What to put on one page so commercial and finance stop arguing past each other.

Calculator, customs forms, and product samples on a clean desk

Commercial teams talk in ex-warehouse prices. Finance hears duty, freight, and brokerage. Without a shared landed-cost page, meetings drift. Reason Beaconpoint builds that page as part of many Cross-Border Distribution Analytics Engagements.

One page, five fields

For each priority SKU: unit product cost, freight allocation, duty and tax, brokerage or handling, and a simple landed total. Add a note when a field is estimated. Silence about estimates is how trust erodes.

Currency and timing traps

Invoice currency, payment currency, and planning currency may differ across a single ASEAN route. State the conversion date used. A landed-cost visual that ignores FX timing will lose the finance partner in the first five minutes.

Keep it maintainable

Hand the brand a template that matches their existing invoice folders. If updating requires a specialist every month, the pack will die after the engagement. Visualization work should survive the consultant leaving Bangkok.
